Visual impairment in a highly visual society can lead to a sense of isolation. The Lackawanna Blind Association offers a variety of social activity programs for our clients, including exercise classes, descriptive movies, audio book club, seasonal parties, and outings. These programs offer recreation, relaxation, and the opportunity to be part of a supportive peer community. The agency’s mini bus service provides our clients with door-to-door escort and transportation to and from activities hosted at our center, as well as to outings and special events. Our monthly calendar of events is available in audio, print, and braille formats to keep our clients abreast of the latest agency happenings.
