People may need to access the Lackawanna Blind Association for various reasons related to vision impairment or blindness.

Conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, cataracts, and traumatic injuries can lead to partial or total vision loss, impacting daily life and independence. Through tailored services, the association helps individuals manage their specific conditions, empowering them to maintain independence, stay active, and improve their quality of life.

We want to help YOU.

That's why we allow people to just walk right in!

The Lackawanna Blind Association is dedicated to supporting not only those who are blind but also individuals who are visually impaired. In fact, the majority of the people we serve are not completely blind. Our knowledgeable and compassionate staff and volunteers excel in helping individuals adapt to vision loss, ensuring they lead fulfilling lives.
